It means that there is something the inspector was unsure about, probably copyright or legal, and wants checked. Once the situation is clarified, a decision is given either way.

zofiap 3 iStockaudio: Marketing of iStock_Audio

Hi Guys,

I was just wondering about iStock's plans for marketing iStock_Audio. I subscribe to a few creative magazines and the photo side is always being advertised and promoted (free stock photos etc) and it got me thinking . . . is iStock planning something for us audio contributors? :) Can you give us the heads up?

Cheers

Nice video here made intercutting between Red One, GH1 and 5D2. Looks like what counts is the shooter and the lenses.

For myriad reasons, one of which is the way the "tea party" platform pushes moderates or anyone who does not pass their litmus test for conservatism out of the party.

You mean, kind of like this?

"And now, working in conjunction with Howard Dean's old organization Democracy for America, MoveOn is starting a drive to take away the committee chairmanships of any Democrat who fails to live up to MoveOn's progressive standards."

Hmmmmmm, seems kinda, well -- the opposite of smart. ;)

I had uploaded so many at first that I was taking a break. I bought some new equipment and I tried it out yesterday so today I been working on some of the images. I put a few in queue let's see how long that will take

Yeah, it seems to take up to 3-5 days at the moment even for exclusive images. Might be a side-effect of the iStockalypse in Istanbul right now and I hope it will improve again later next week...

And I know the "I've seen too much" feeling right now. I soooo feel in the mood to shot some more this week. But I said to myself that I will not set up any new shoots until I have at least the mass of images processed that I shot during the last three months.

I think I'm getting close to it with my Florida images (68 approved, 9 more in the queue, I think I will get maybe 15-20 more out of it). I hope I'll finish those next week. And then I have to move on to the pics I shot in Canada in August and two shoots I had here in June and September. :-)

the theme of... unwanted christmas jumper/sweater/socks/cardigan/ basically anything you get given with a snowflake pattern on it.

Last year some of my clients had contests for "tackiest Christmas sweater" at their parties. I just searched iStock for "ugly Christmas sweater" and "tacky Christmas sweater" and didn't get very many results so that might be an idea for photography or illustration.

Hi, Mike.

This seems to fit and you could flip it and extend the out of focus grass to get the subject/back in the right place. They are organic carrots.

I put a few into a LB for you that seemed possible and are all available at the required size.

GeorgeClerk 14 Submit Suggestions: Loupe everywhere
I love the fact that in the normal file listings (search results, browse recent etc) we can hover over files to see a good sized loupe thumbnail.

For me it'd be brilliant if the loupe was available everywhere that files are shown. For example, CN recent files, in our uploads listings, on thumbnails of related files that we link to on the file view page, on the newest uploads bit of the Vetta page etc...

I suppose there could be issues for users with limited bandwidth, but there's already the control panel option to exclude loupe view if needed.

If I remember right, the loupe was available from the small thumbs for the Punctum shortlist files, and it was great to be able to browse through them without loading up each page individually.

Eulenblau 16 Critique Requests: PHOTO: Can't find posterization. Help please.

/@Rob

Thank you very much for your help and your elaborate answer. Your explanation is very helpful indeed and very much appreciated.

There is no doubt parts of the image are underexposed and some fill light would have saved the shot. My post-production didn't fix the problem and the rejection was right of course.

What puzzles me is that I don't see the posterization in Lightroom and in Capture NX2 but I do in PS CS4.

This is my equivalent to your Lightroom screenshot.

When I display the image on 100 percent this is what I see in the Lightroom Develop module, this is what Capture NX2 is showing and this is what PS CS4 is displaying. Only PS CS4 is clearly showing the posterization.

All screenshots have been taken on the same freshly calibrated Quato screen displaying the exact same RAW file. I calibrated the screen using a ColorMunki and I understand the ColorMunki software is delivering the monitor profile to all programs alike.

So why are different programs displaying the same image differently?

Edit: layout

It al depends on how much you want to spend. For example Calumet have the following:

As long as you stay with UHF you should be Ok - but avoid VHF - there are too many things that interfere with it.

Another thing to consider is a good shotgun microphone that you can point at the speaker but is wired directly to your camera.
